Those words in our mission statement guide us, but also represent a challenge. They demand we do all we can to make a Carroll education available to all and any who seek it—and to offer an inclusive experience to all who come here.
On campus, we’ve staffed departments and built resources to help increase diversity and to foster success among new generations of students. The Office of Multicultural Affairs hosts intercultural events and provides mentoring opportunities that enhance cultural competencies across campus. And our Pre-College Programs give high school students from underrepresented communities a sampling of college life and provide essential skill building activities that prepare students for the rigors of higher education.
But successfully building diversity among our student population requires more. It requires funding. Our president, Dr. Cindy Gnadinger, believes strongly in making the Carroll experience accessible to all, regardless of their background.
