FIRST FORWARD PASS
The first legal forward pass in a football game ever happened at Carroll—in 1906! Thrown by the quarterback from the other team, it may or may not have been intercepted by the mighty Pioneers.
SOCCER APPEARS AT CARROLL
In 1866, only one year after the end of the American Civil War, the first organized soccer match ever played in the United States took place here, at Carroll.
