Danica Molina, a 2019 graduate who won two first-place awards in the Wisconsin Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda competition, recently snagged second place in desktop publishing in the national contest.

During the competition, she had to design a logo for a food truck and create print materials such as a billboard, direct mail piece, menu and business card. She says graphic communication professors Dan Becker and Julie VonDerVellen motivated her and helped her develop a passion for design.

Molina, who works at The Caring Place adult daycare center conducting activity groups, recently assumed social media duties as well. She is considering returning to school to pursue nonprofit management or administration.
