Linda (Zimmerman) '90 and Dan Tennies '92

We met as Music Ed majors back in 1988. Dan was a freshman and I was starting my junior year. We first laid eyes on each other as members of the Carroll College Concert Choir. Although I was smitten from the beginning, we remained friends for two years as we shared classes and circles of friends in the small music department.

As we spent time together, it became clear to us that we had a special bond.

It wasn't until we went on Choir Tour to Washington DC in March of 1990 that we professed our love for each other (a lot can happen when you are sequestered on a bus together for 10 days!) We began dating in May of 1990 and married in May of 1993. May 1, 2018 will be our 25th wedding anniversary! 

We moved our family from the familiarity of Wisconsin to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2010 and have never looked back.

Together we have raised three young men into adulthood, Aaron, age 23; David, age 20; and Matthew, age 18 and our relationship is closer than ever. We work in business development and leadership as partners, side by side, and have never been more excited for the future!
