Pioneer Bridge
Thank you for your interest in the Pioneer Bridge high school to college orientation program for first generation and underrepresented students. Please complete the following application to reserve your spot in the program. This form must be completed in its entirety to be considered for the program. Applications will be considered in the order that they are received, so we recommend that you return the forms as soon as you're able. We will prioritize applications received by Friday, August 2, 2019. Once we receive your completed application, we will send you an email informing you of your status. In order to attend Pioneer Bridge to Success, you must:
- Be admitted to Carroll University
- Be a first time incoming college freshman
- Be a first generation college student or part of a group traditionally underrepresented in higher education
- Receive an invitation to apply (via mail or email)
- Be available during the entire duration of Saturday, August 17 – Friday, August 30
By participating in the Pioneer Bridge to Success program, you will:
- Receive the Bridge to Success Scholarship which covers program fees, including housing (or gas stipend for commuters), meals, and activities
- Move into your residence hall on Saturday, August 17 (for resident students only)
- Start building relationships with professors, administrators, and peer mentors and create a unique support system
- Get a head start on college success with early access and exposure to campus life and resources
- Form a tight-knit community with peers and develop lifelong friendships
- Be part of a select group of students during your 4-year university experience which meets monthly for social, academic and professional enrichment experiences
- Be paired with a upperclassmen mentor who will guide you through the first two years of your undergraduate experience
