What made you choose this major?
I had to get an ultrasound at 15 due to health issues. I fell in love with it and that same day I found out that Carroll, a college that I was extremely interested in, had a program for it, and was affiliated with the best ultrasound program in the state. Ever since that day my mind was made up and it never waivered.
How has what you’ve learned prepared you for your future?
I’ve learned so much just in the past six months of ultrasound school. I’ve learned so many pathologies and techniques, and how to treat others with respect no matter what. Overall, school has made me a better person.
What opportunities have you had to work closely with a faculty member and what impact has that had on your education?
Throughout my Carroll career I could always go to teachers and instructors for help and they were always more than willing. I love the atmosphere of a class of eight people, it makes learning so much easier and personal.
What’s one of the most unique experiences you’ve had relating to the coursework for your major?
The entire program is so unique. We get so much hands on clinical experience that we’ll be prepared when we leave here. I am so fortunate that Carroll is a part of a program like this.
How has Carroll enriched your growth as a person outside of the skills you’re learning in the classroom?
I’ve been a part of Greek life and numerous organizations while at school. It’s difficult because my major is so vigorous, but I have gotten so much out of these organizations and have gained so many life-long friends. My suggestion would be get involved as much as you can, but always put school first.
Why did you choose to attend Carroll University?
There is no better choice that I’ve ever made. I feel so at home at Carroll and there are so many amenities that you can take advantage of. Professors know your name, I have gotten such a great education, and my life and future will be so much brighter thanks to Carroll University.
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
Carroll provides you with everything that you need to have an amazing college experience. The rest is up to you to get involved and use their services to learn so much and have the time of your life.
