Equity and Social Justice Symposium | iRespectU Award 

The Equity and Social Justice Symposium's iRespectU Award recognizes faculty, staff and students who have made outstanding contributions towards enriching the Carroll experience by enhancing diversity, assessing for equity and/or building towards inclusion. 


Nominees must demonstrate/meet one or more of the following indicators:
  • Strives to create inclusive teams and spaces (on and/or off campus) where all are respected, valued, feel a sense of belonging and can contribute to their full potential.
  • Fosters behaviors that correlate to a passion for lifelong learning and skill-building to deepen their self-awareness, knowledge, and capacity to effectively engage in a diverse and global society. 
  • Uses data to effectively analyze, evaluate, and revise their current policies, programs, curricula, practices, and services, as needed, to eliminate negative differential impact and create inclusion and belonging. 
  • Develops relevant and inclusive programs, curricula, and/or services to reflect the diversity of experiences at Carroll. 
  • Serves as a spokesperson, change agent, and/or leader around a particular dimension of diversity and raises awareness around inequities and other issues that exist.
