Job Title – School of Business Student Worker

Purpose of Job

  • Student Assistants of the School of Business are responsible for performing various office tasks for faculty and staff in the department, as well as greeting all visitors in a welcoming and helpful manner. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Copy classroom materials for instructors
  • Assist instructors with organizational tasks 
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and transfer to appropriate person as necessary
  • Distribute incoming mail to faculty mailboxes
  • Distribute intercampus mail to other departments around campus 
  • Address outgoing mail 
  • Create reports and spreadsheets as requested 
  • Inventory office supplies 
  • Clean common areas 
  • Direct visitors to appropriate office within department 
  • Answer general questions from students, other faculty, and visitors 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Majors within the School of Business
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel 
  • Good interpersonal skills; ability to communicate clearly and respectfully
