Department – Office of Institutional Advancement
Job Title – Office Worker
Purpose of Job
As an IA Associate, your primary responsibilities include supporting Carroll University’s and Institutional Advancement’s mission statements. IA Associates will serve as student leaders and ambassadors for Carroll University who help foster relationships with external constituents and the Carroll campus community. IA Associates report to the Administrative Assistant to the Office of Alumni Engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities
Embrace, uphold and promote the values stated in the Carroll University Mission Statement and also the Institutional Advancement Mission Statement
Establish a positive relationship with each constituent with whom you speak, promote Carroll, be passionate about our mission and the future of the institution
Be a team player. You work independently at times, but will succeed as a team; help your fellow staff members, answer questions, be a resource
Assist with alumni and development events
Accurately update all address, phone changes, employment and email information for Institutional
Advancement records in the database
Assist with filing confidential documents
Assist with mailings
Assist with electronic communications as needed
Staff on campus promotional events targeting students, alumni and friends of the community
Complete other duties as assigned by the Administrative Assistant to the Office of Alumni
Engagement or other Advancement professionals
Job Qualifications
Strong Work Ethic
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Solid time management skills
Good written and oral communication skills
Must be able to work with confidential material
Must have computer, clerical skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Must be available during normal office hours (8:00-4:30)
