What is your teaching style?

Active and high engagement classes; discussion based

Why do you do what you do?

Investing in pre-service teachers is one of the most noble ways I can give back to the profession.

How do you make learning engaging?

Making learning visible is the key to having rigiorous learning "stick".  My classes tend to be high energy, high engagement, and high student involvement.  We've taken field trips, hosted guest speakers, and even mined for coal (fictitiously, inside of a cookie).

What should students know about you?

Because I spend most of my days with teachers and learners in a K-12 system, I have a deep connection to the pressures, celebrations, opportunities and realities in the profession day in and day out.
