Academic Advising and Registration

During advising and registration sessions (in-person and online) an overview will be provided on Carroll University’s academic curriculum, graduation requirements, and academic advising program. Students will learn how academic advisors help them achieve their academic, personal, and career-related goals. Students will also register for their first semester classes with guidance from an academic advisor. Supporters/parents will learn about additional campus resources and the support they provide to all students to help them be a successful Carroll student.

There are two types of Academic Advising and Registration sessions; In-person or Online.

In-Person Sessions

Online advising and registration is a self-paced option comprised of two steps. The first step is a Canvas course about academic advising, registration, and curriculum requirements at Carroll University. This will take about 45 minutes in total to complete, culminating with a final quiz. The second step requires the students to register for Fall 2024 (FA24) courses in Anthology in the my.carrollu.edu portal.

Online registration will open Monday, May 6, 2024. On this day you will receive an email from the Academic Advising Office with information needed to complete registration. Completion of a learning module is required prior to registering for classes.

Academic Advisors will be available to all students beginning June 3, 2024 for virtual meetings via Microsoft TEAMS. Students will be able to schedule a meeting Monday-Friday, 9-4 p.m. CST. These are not mandatory meetings but rather available for students who have additional questions/concerns that would be better addressed through a conversation.
