Colleges of Distinction believes a thorough selection process requires more than an overview of institutional data, statistics and endowment size. Instead, the selection process is a sequence of in-depth research and detailed interviews with the schools, accepting only those that adhere to the four distinctions: engaged students, great teaching, vibrant community and successful outcomes.
These principles are informed by the high-impact practices to prioritize how institutions enable students to have a fulfilling, individualized college experience inside and outside of the classroom.
“We prefer to focus on the innovative ways that colleges all around the country are providing an enriching undergraduate experience,” said Tyson Schritter, Chief Operating Officer at Colleges of Distinction. “And Carroll University’s dedication to experiential learning shows us that each of its students has the opportunity to play an active role in their education.”
Carroll’s inclusion is informed by the unique ways it commits to achieving success. The effective strategies for student satisfaction and outcomes were the kinds of engaging experiences found at Carroll. To learn more about Carroll’s innovative learning experiences, visit
