Scott Rudie has been named the new vice president of marketing and communications for Carroll University.
Rudie's responsibilities include leading the University marketing and communications team, developing strategic communication and marketing programs to build the University’s image regionally and providing project management leadership in the areas of brand imaging and recruitment marketing.
"I am thrilled to join Carroll University and begin the work of building upon Carroll's reputation as a premier regional university through strategic marketing and communications," Rudie said. "There are countless stories that illustrate the transformative impact of a Carroll education, and I am excited to work with the Carroll community to tell those stories."
Rudie comes to Carroll with more than 20 years of experience in higher education and private school marketing. He most recently served as vice president of communications and marketing at Marquette University High School in Milwaukee, where he oversaw the implementation of a comprehensive campaign that broadened institutional awareness and visibility, as well as increased engagement.
In addition, his background includes senior communications and marketing leadership positions at Mount Mary University, Moraine Park Technical College and Cardinal Stritch University. An enthusiastic believer in the value of a liberal arts education, Rudie brings expertise in messaging, branding, creative direction and project management.
“We are thrilled to welcome Scott to the Carroll community,” said President Cindy Gnadinger. “He brings impressive higher education experience and a solid set of professional skills that will enhance our strategic marketing and recruitment efforts.”
Rudie received a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a Master of Arts degree in history from Cardinal Stritch University. He resides in Bayside with his wife, Glenda, and daughter, Clara.
