Curt Culver, non-executive chairman of MGIC Investment Corporation, will speak at Carroll University’s Executive in Residence Series 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, in the Stackner Ballroom in the Campus Center.
His career spans more than 40 years in the private mortgage insurance industry, including 33 years at MGIC. In addition, he serves on the boards of several companies, including Culver’s Franchising Systems. He will discuss the importance of happiness and balance in life while sharing leadership lessons learned at MGIC and Culver’s restaurants.
Culver joined MGIC in 1982, was named president and chief operating officer in 1996, and on Jan. 1, 2000, became chief executive officer of MGIC Investment Corporation. He added the title of chairman in 2006. Upon his retirement in 2015, he became non-executive chairman. Besides serving on the board of MGIC, he also serves on the boards of Wisconsin Energy Corporation and its subsidiary, Wisconsin Electric Corporation, West Bend Mutual Insurance Company and Culver’s Franchising Systems. Culver also serves on numerous non-profit boards, including the Bradley Foundation.
