With the launch of the Analytics and Business Intelligence Consortium at the Carroll University School of Business, Carroll University is offering organizations throughout southeastern Wisconsin a new resource to help engage and manage big data. This forward-thinking, multidisciplinary alliance of industry and academia is poised to become a leader in applied analytics, data interpretation and strategic action.

“The Analytics and Business Intelligence Consortium is first and foremost a solutions provider,” said Steven Bialek, dean of the Carroll University School of Business. “This innovative approach provides organizations with access to the expertise and tools they need to make effective decisions in regard to data management and analytics. Our goal is to become the region’s leading source of data analysis intelligence. The need is out there across all industries, from manufacturing and health care to finance, retail and more.”

The university has selected John Gnadinger as the founding director of the Analytics and Business Intelligence Consortium. Gnadinger brings more than three decades of management experience at national and international organizations to the role. He previously served as director of engineered solutions for a multi-national industry leader with customers in transportation, government, retail, education, healthcare and sports and entertainment sectors. He has over eight years of experience running an entrepreneurial, independent organization within that company which was responsible for the development, deployment and global sales of its first IoT, analytics, big data, business intelligence visualization and reporting software platform.

The Analytics and Business Intelligence Consortium offers a variety of benefits to member organizations, including the opportunity to participate in collaborative analytics projects designed to solve real-world industry challenges. Members will also have access to faculty experts and a deep alumni network that covers numerous national and international corporations, including several Fortune 500 leaders. Additionally, the Analytics and Business Intelligence Consortium offers Carroll students valuable experiential learning that will enhance classroom curriculum and provide a competitive edge upon graduation. Monthly special events, an annual conference featuring thought leaders and innovators, and access to a variety of educational opportunities throughout the year are also included in membership.
