Dr. Alexandra Sielaff Named MBA Director of Carroll University School of Business

Dr. Alexandra Sielaff has been named the new MBA Director of the Carroll University School of Business (CUSB). Dr Sielaff, who has more than 25 years of higher education experience, has served as a Visiting Lecturer of Business with Carroll University since 2020.  She also served in different capacities at Milwaukee School Of Engineering (MSOE), Mount Mary University, Marquette University and Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC). In her new role with Carroll, Dr. Sielaff will lead and direct the efforts of the CUSB including curriculum development, programming and partnership engagement and collaboration.

“It is a privilege to announce Dr. Sielaff as the MBA Director of our School of Business at Carroll University. Her experience in international partnerships and programming, as well as her coaching credentials and competencies will be quite needed and helpful to our MBA and professional studies in business,” said the dean of the CUSB, Dr. Hamid Akbari. “Our School of Business continues to grow with new degrees and certificate programs, and I am happy that Dr. Sielaff will lead these efforts to better meet our students’ educational needs.” 
 

Dr. Sielaff has served as a professor of statistics and organizational behavior at Marquette University for 23 years, as Director of Graduate and Professional Education and professor of global business at MSOE, and coordinator of program development and evaluation at WCTC. She earned her B.A. in Slavic Languages and Literature, and Masters in Soviet/East European Studies from the University of Kansas. She also earned a Masters of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a Master of Science and Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  


“It’s an honor to serve in a leadership role at Carroll and to work with faculty, students, alumni and businesses to evolve our curriculum, leverage our partnerships, and expand our reach as one of the leading schools of business in the region,” said Dr. Sielaff. “I’m excited to be part of the upcoming growth of the school, and the opportunity to continue the tremendous momentum it has already gained.” 
 
The news comes on the heels of the CUSB launching its new Graduate Certificate Programs. Carroll University now offers six, for-credit certificate programs in business analytics, business management, financial and supply chain management, healthcare administration, healthcare data analytics and healthcare informatics and technology.
