Dr. Tim Suchomel is an associate professor of exercise science and program director for the master's program in sport physiology and performance coaching at Carroll University. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Tim serves as the director of the Carroll University Sport Performance Institute (CUSPI) and a human performance coach. Tim has published over 85 peer-reviewed journal articles on topics including strength and power development, weightlifting movements and their derivatives, and athlete monitoring. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) and registered strength and conditioning coach (RSCC) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a USA Weightlifting Level I Coach.

Conor Cantwell, B.Sc., CSCS, USAW-I
Kilkenny, Ireland
Conor completed his undergraduate degree in sport and exercise sciences at the University of Limerick. While completing his undergraduate degree, Conor worked with professional rugby club Munster Rugby serving in a variety of roles including underage athletic development coach and senior athletic performance intern with the professional team. Conor has also served as the head of strength and conditioning for Division 1 amateur rugby team Garryowen FC, assistant strength and conditioning coach for National Center of Limerick High Performance Swim Team, and as an intern at the East Tennessee State University Olympic Training Site. Conor is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a certified level 1 coach through USA Weightlifting. Conor currently works with the men’s and women’s soccer teams.

Jack Chard, B.S., USAW-I
Waukesha, Wisconsin
Jack competed as a sprinter for the track and field team at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. While competing there, he earned his Bachelors in Rehabilitation Science and was part of two national championship teams. He is USAW Level 1 certified as well as Jack is currently working with Men’s Baseball and is assisting with Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse and Soccer.

Mike Cole, B.S., USAW-I
Manteno, Illinois
Mike competed in football during high school and continued his athletic and academic career here at Carroll. He graduated from Carroll University in 2022 with his bachelor's degree in exercise science. He is a certified Level 1 Coach through USA Weightlifting and pursuing his CSCS through NSCA. He currently works with the men's and women's cross county team as well as the football team as an assistant human performance coach.

Conor Penneau, B.S., USAW-I
Greenfield, Wisconsin
Conor played one year of collegiate soccer at Carroll University. He graduated there with a bachelor's degree in exercise science. As an undergrad he interned at Ethic Sport Performance. He is a certified level 1 coach through USA Weightlifting and currently works with Men's and Women's swim and dive.

Ryan Schedlbauer, B.S., USAW-I
East Troy, Wisconsin
Ryan graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, with a bachelor's degree in health and human performance, with a minor in coaching. He has been coaching track and field at Mukwonago High School since 2019, working with the girls sprints and relays, and helped guide them to a state championship and state runner up in the 4x200 and 4x100 relays, respectively, in 2022. Ryan is a certified USAW Level I coach and is currently working the Carroll track and field sprints and jumps.

Kelsie Smith, B.S., USAW-I
Poplar Grove, Illinois
Kelsie Smith recently graduated with her B.S. in Kinesiology from Northern Illinois University. During high school and youth, she spent her time playing volleyball and softball. Kelsie is a certified USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach and also works on competing in the sport. In Spring of 2022, she spent the semester as a strength and conditioning intern at UW-Madison and is currently working with men's and women's golf at Carroll. She also works with the volleyball team as an assistant coach.

Adam Sundh, B.S., CSCS, USAW-II
Stockholm, Sweden
Adam completed his undergraduate degree with Summa Cum Laude honors at North Park University while majoring in Exercise Science. While completing his undergraduate degree, Adam competed in Men’s Basketball at Lindenwood University and later at North Park University while receiving Academic All-Conference recognition. Adam is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Certified Level 2 Coach (USAW-2) through USA Weightlifting. At Carroll University, Adam works with Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse as an Assistant Human Performance Coach and Men’s Basketball as a Human Performance Fellow.

Jimmy Utt, B.S., USAW-I
Purcellville, Virginia
Jimmy graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in sport psychology. While attending WVU, he minored in strength and conditioning and found the sport of weightlifting. Prior to Carroll, he has worked at a number of performance gyms as well as personal training studios. He is currently certified through USAW-1 and works with Carroll Softball.

Devin Vervoort, B.S., USAW-I, NASM-CPT
Black Creek, Wisconsin
Devin graduated from Carroll University in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science. At the end of his undergraduate work Devin interned at Ethic Sports Performance and was hired at the completion of the internship. Devin holds certifications through USAW (Level 1 Coach), and NASM -Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Nutrition Coach. Devin is working with the Carroll University Women's Basketball Team.
