Radiologic Technology Emphasis

Radiologic technologists use a variety of sophisticated equipment to help physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. In the role you’ll take X-rays and may even specialize in areas such as computerized tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Whether you’re administering mammograms or looking at bone structures, services for radiologic technologists will continue to be in demand due to an aging population with growing healthcare needs.

Our partnership program gives you the skills required to provide care to patients in a hospital or clinic setting and also allows you to earn a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences: Radiologic Technology.

Students will begin their studies at Carroll taking courses such as human anatomy and physiology, general chemistry and intercultural communication - which are required by our healthcare partners to begin the second phase of the program. You’ll also complete additional required psychology courses. Once all of your prerequisite courses are completed you’ll apply to our partner programs at Aurora Health Care, Froedtert Hospital and Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare (Ascension Wisconsin) where you’ll continue your education through hands-on work in diverse clinical settings.

Radiologic technologists rank in the top ten best jobs in healthcare support roles with an employment that is expected to grow significantly in the next ten years. The position offers a competitive salary and opportunities to work in hospitals, clinics or laboratories.
