Technical Teaching Credential
Technical Teaching Transcripted Course Credential
Better serve your students, add to your skillset and help fill high-demand jobs in Waukesha County with this teaching credential offered through a partnership between Carroll University and Waukesha County Technical College.
With this credential, teachers in Waukesha county school districts will be able to teach technical courses at the high school level for transcripted credit through Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC). This unique 18-credit program includes six credits of
Master of Education
courses offered in Carroll’s seminar format and a minimum of 12 credits in WCTC technical courses that serve as laboratory sections for the graduate seminar courses.
Facilitate applications of innovative technology and state of the art technological skills and methods to meet current and future workforce needs.
Design learning opportunities including lessons, assessments and classroom structures that support learner development of technical skills.
Demonstrate instructional skills through the fostering opportunities that reflect the variety of roles within the teaching and learning interaction to enhance adult learning.
Participants awarded this credential meet Waukesha County Technical College Faculty Qualifications Rationale, Occupational Program Courses-Dual Enrollment TCS 3.04 (1) Instructor requirements (Each academic and occupational instructor shall meet applicable requirements established by the Higher Learning Commission and federal and state licensing requirements), #2-This Faculty member is qualified by Equivalent Experience, 1. appropriate certifications or licenses relevant to the course they are teaching as defined by the academic unit department/unit that the student in that course cannot possess at the time that the class is taught.
