Job Title – Philanthropy Fellow

Purpose of Job

The Philanthropy Fellow plays a key role in promoting philanthropy and engagement within the Carroll community. This position helps advance fundraising and stewardship efforts while educating students about the importance of giving and their impact on the university. The Fellow serves as a student leader and ambassador for Carroll University, assisting the Annual Giving team in spreading a positive message, creating opportunities for student involvement, and supporting key campus initiatives.

Working in the Office of Institutional Advancement provides valuable experience in communication, leadership, event planning, and fundraising—skills that prepare students for success in professional and community settings.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organize and promote Senior Class Gift efforts. Establish and lead the Senior Class Gift Committee, schedule and attend monthly meetings, plan and staff tabling events, and assist with solicitation outreach, email schedules, and content drafting. Attend Senior Week Committee meetings and coordinate Senior Trivia Night.
  • Organize, promote, and attend Thank a Donor Day and Pay It Forward Day events.
  • Assist with recruiting and supporting student ambassadors for CUonGivingTuesday and other annual giving initiatives.
  • As needed, assist with the management and coordination of the CU Connect program.
  • Attend supervisor meetings to review fundraising, engagement, and event progress, and share updates on student involvement and campaign performance.
  • Contribute to training and development of future Fellows, offering guidance and documentation to support continuity within the position.
  • Assist with other Institutional Advancement projects or special campaigns as needed.
