Job Title – Theatre Student Assistant
Purpose of Job
This part-time position will administratively support all Academic aspects of the Theatre and Arts Management Program and will support Public Relations efforts for each annual Theatre Season.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a front-desk presence in the Theatre and Arts Management (TAM) Office, which includes greeting students/visitors, answering phone calls, etc.
Work closely with TAM Office Supervisor in all administrative-related efforts and initiatives, which includes making copies, scanning documents, assisting Faculty with daily class preparation, etc.
Assist in the identification and training of future Student Office Workers
Work closely with TAM Office Supervisor in all PR-related efforts and initiatives, which includes printing and distribution promotional and marketing materials, creating cast and photo boards, chalking, etc.
Attend weekly PR meetings
Assist in the maintenance of the TAM Office Worker manual
Assist with updating the Theatre Arts Group Page and Carroll Players’ Weebly Page
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Undergraduate Theatre and Arts Management Major or Arts Management Minor
Proficiency with MS Word/Excel, Adobe Suite
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented, highly organized
Knowledge regarding arts administration and marketing/communications
Basic website maintenance and e-marketing/social media skills
A consistently positive attitude and passion for making great, collaborative theatre
An undeniable and consistent passion for the Theatre Arts Program and Carroll University
