Department – Recreational Sports
Job Title – Intramural Official
Purpose of Job
Represent Carroll University and the Department of Recreational Sports in a positive
manner.
Promote and provide recreation and wellness opportunities to the Carroll University
campus and community.
Facilitate the services provided by RecSports in Ganfield Gymnasium, on outdoor fields,
and at other Carroll University spaces including, but not limited to: fitness training,
Group Fitness classes, Intramural Sports, Club Sports, Carroll Outdoor Recreation
Equipment (CORE) programs, and drop-in recreation opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Set up/take down for intramurals, and facilitate and officiate intramural and club
sport competition.
Promote and encourage participation in Campus Recreation events and activities.
Uphold a high standard of excellence on the job and sportsmanship on the field.
Keep equipment and facilities safe and clean.
Properly check out equipment available for daily use.
Attend all mandatory trainings and monthly staff meetings.
Maintain knowledge of the services provided by Recreational Sports.
Job Qualifications
Current First Aid, CPR and AED certifications required within 30 days of employment.
Sport specific experience for all Intramural Sports Officials.
Positive attitude and strong work-ethic required.
Interest in living a healthy, active lifestyle and making an impact on campus for
the greater good of the University preferred.
