Department – Physical Plant
Job Title – Maintenance Worker
Purpose of Job
- Assist with all maintenance procedures and other tasks as assigned by the maintenance
manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Painter Skills
- Work with team to paint interior and exterior areas of buildings on and off campus
- Experience working with rollers, brushes, edgers and sprayers.
- Carpenter Skills
- Assist carpenters with repairs and new projects throughout campus
- Requires basic mathematical skills
- Customer Service
- Keep a customer oriented mind set when contacting faculty, staff, student and visitors
on campus
- Preventative Maintenance
- Work with a team to prevent large equipment from future failures
- Assist with moving equipment and furniture throughout campus when needed
Job Qualifications
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
- Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills
- Working conditions are medium to heavy lifting
- Working under custodial operations
