Job Title – Facilities Supervisor (Van Male/Ganfield)

Purpose of Job

A Carroll University Building Supervisor is the primary person responsible for the enforcement of all athletic building rules, which are designed to promote cleanliness and safety within the facility. The Building Supervisor is also the sole observer of buildings activity within the entire Thus, the Building Supervisor is a crucial component in preventing accidents before they happen, as well as in maintaining the cleanliness of these portions of the Athletic Facilities at Carroll University.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervising all building activities and patrons
  • Enforcing all facility rules and regulations including:
    • Prohibiting us from the restricted exits unless given permission to do
    • No foul language
    • No food or beverages
    • No street shoes on fieldhouse floors
    • No “horseplay”
    • No non-athlete patrons in the practice areas from 4:00pm – 6:00pm
  • Inspecting the facilities for hazardous conditions, items requiring maintenance, and areas needing cleaning
  • Communicating with facility patrons and reporting their requests and complaints to administration or Fellows.
  • Responding to or assisting in emergency situations that affect the Van Male/Ganfield facilities or those utilizing these facilities
  • Advising the Shift Supervisor of the conditions and /or activities within the fieldhouse
  • Maintaining a running tally of individuals entering and utilizing the facilities and documenting which area of these facilities the patrons were actively
  • Cleaning the facilities and related items found within these areas according to specific requests and the designated schedule

Job Qualifications

  • Must be responsible and able to manage assigned work and school studies
  • Must be able to perform all assigned tasks on time and in a timely manner
  • Must be prompt for all shifts and follow necessary protocol to be excused from
