From the classroom to the courtroom, Anthony Sikorski ‘23 has never been one to take the easy route. Anthony, an accomplished Carroll University alum and current student at Marquette University Law School, is anything but your average student. What sets Anthony apart isn’t just ambition, but his unwavering dedication to turn challenge into opportunity. Graduating from Carroll summa cum laude at just 18 years old, Anthony accomplished more before adulthood than some do in a lifetime - all while managing the daily realities of both Cystic Fibrosis and Crohn’s Disease.

Balancing rigorous academics, intensive medical challenges, and the transition to university life at such a young age, a mere 14 years old, demanded a level of maturity and discipline far beyond his years. Though his college experience was far from conventional, his success story stands as a testament to his perseverance and intellect. He proudly credits his foundation to his time at Carroll.

While law school is known for its rigorous courses and demanding study schedule, Anthony says Carroll prepared him well for the challenge. In his upper-level biology courses, professors emphasized independent learning. Students were expected to master material on their own before reviewing it in class. This approach strengthened his time management and critical thinking skills. At Marquette, where students regularly tackle fifty to sixty pages of reading multiple times a week, Anthony acknowledges Carroll’s focus on independence as key to his success. His undergraduate research experience at Carroll was equally valuable. From guided projects to experiments he designed and executed himself, Anthony developed strong analytical and research skills. These have served him well as a research assistant in law school.

Anthony has been named Editor-in-Chief of the Marquette Law Review, one of the highest honors a law student can achieve. As Editor-in-Chief, he holds ultimate responsibility for overseeing all aspects of the publication’s operations and serves as its general manager. This prestigious appointment reflects Anthony’s exceptional dedication, intellectual ability, and leadership skills. In addition, he has earned six A+ grades across four semesters, a remarkable accomplishment, as professors may award only one A+ per class.

When asked if he had any advice for current Carroll students, Anthony shared:

“College students, especially those who are younger, should dedicate themselves to hard work and perseverance ... In doing so, they will show that they value the outstanding opportunity to receive a university education and will inspire others to judge them not by age or physical conditions, but by the content of their character.” Carroll’s pre-law program aims to prepare students like Anthony for their future careers in the legal sector.
