About Rebeca's Role:

In collaboration with the Executive Director of Alumni Engagement and Marketing and Communications, Rebeca is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communications plans that advance the University. Rebeca is also helping create an engaging and proactive communication infrastructure and mission-driven messaging that inspires and influences all university students, staff and faculty working alongside the MarCom team on print, web, social, email and other marketing content.

Rebeca asks:

Which is your favorite Carroll dormitory?

Coming back to campus as an alum and now staff, it’s been amazing to see how many improvements Carroll has made over the years. The biggest update for me is the additional dorms and on-campus housing. Having lived in North Bergstrom, New Hall and a house on Wright Street, I love to see all the on-campus housing options students now have. My favorite dorm was North Berg having lived there for two years, even with the old elevator and it being one of the further dorms on campus, because of the sense of community created there—our doors were always open to visitors.”

One thing most people don’t know about Rebeca:

My second job out of college was marketing the Wisconsin Bakers Association, which also manages the Cream Puff Operation at the Wisconsin State Fair. "I was on the team that helped bring the Cream Puff mascot to life, but I don't like to eat cream puffs, which may have been a conflict of interest, lol!"

Some of Rebeca's hobbies:
  • Traveling abroad
  • Reading and listening to music
  • Listening to her favorite True Crime podcast: Crime Junkie
  • Binging a good mystery or romcom TV show
  • Hanging out with her family and friends
Rebeca's go to coffee order:

Caribou medium roast coffee with caramel macchiato creamer.
