Anschuetz

David D. Anschuetz '73

2007 P.E. MacAllister Distinguished Alumnus Award for Service to Carroll

Dave Anschuetz '73 was destined to attend Carroll. He comes from a legacy family, including parents Harold '41 and Martha (Miller) Anschuetz 43, brother Harold (Rick) Anschuetz '67, sister Jan (Anschuetz) Kuntz '70, wife Anne (Graham) Anschuetz '75 and many other relatives who all attended Carroll.

After earning his bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1973, Anschuetz remained active in the Carroll community. He was inducted to the Carroll Athletics Hall of Fame in 1990, is a long-time participant in the annual Pioneer Golf Classic, was founder and co-chair of the Varsity Club Board, served on the Waukesha Area Alumni and Friends Team for the Gateway Campaign and served as co-chair of the Building Champions Campaign in support of athletics at Carroll.

During his student tenure, Anschuetz was a record-breaking quarterback holding several conference and school records when he graduated. The 1970 team, which he quarterbacked, won eight games, one of only four teams to do so in the 112-year history of Carroll football.  He remains a very dedicated loyal alumnus and avid Pioneers fan.  He has organized reunions of the 1973 football team during Homecoming and remains close with many of his fellow classmates. Anschuetz has also been involved with the current football program offering pre-game talks to the team on several occasions.

Dave continues to inspire passion for Carroll in others by engaging many alumni with the campus, and assisting in student recruitment and mentoring, an instrumental role that has brought many new students to Carroll.

Professionally, Dave is a sales representative for the Adidas Group. He has two daughters, Abby and Natalie, and resides in Waukesha, Wis. with his wife Belle '75.
