Master of Business Administration (MBA) Direct Admission

Direct admission provides select incoming freshmen matriculating directly from high school, an opportunity to enter directly into the MBA program, provided progression standards and admission requirements are met. The MBA can be completed in as little as one year.

High School Application Requirements

  • Application to attend Carroll University – List MBA as your first or second major in order to be considered for direct admission into the MBA program.
  • Transcript from an accredited secondary school which shows six semesters of coursework. Please include a senior course schedule with general application materials.
  • Three or more years of high school mathematics with grades of “C” or higher is required
    • Recommended
      • One or more semesters of high school business
      • One or more semesters of high school accounting
  • High school weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • ACT /SAT scores are not required

Continued Requirements Upon Acceptance to Program

Students directly admitted to the MBA program must earn a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA while attending Carroll, and complete a course in Statistics (CMP112), Accounting (ACC205) and Economics (ECO124 or 225) with grades of C or better prior to beginning the MBA program.

Progression Standards

Current MBA students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 while in the program. Please refer to the Carroll University catalog for additional details regarding progression standards.

Carroll University students not offered direct admission as incoming freshmen are encouraged to apply to the MBA program through the traditional graduate admission process.
