Master of Science of Athletic Training (MSAT) 3+2 Direct Admission

Carroll University undergraduate students seeking a bachelor’s degree in an approved discipline can request to follow the 3 + 2 completion plan which requires the first three years of study to be completed at the undergraduate level of study. The final two years of the 3+2 plan consist of graduate-level study in the MSAT program.

High School Requirements

  • 2.75 weighted high school GPA or higher
  • 1 year of high school Biology with a grade of “C” or better
  • 1 year of high school Chemistry with a grade of “C” or better
  • 3 years of high school math with a grade of “C” or better
  • 1 year of high school Physics is recommended

ACT/SAT scores are not required to obtain direct admission status.

Carroll University students with direct admission status must satisfy all MSAT program prerequisite requirements by the end of spring semester of their junior year in order to advance into year one of the graduate MSAT program in their senior year.

Pre-Athletic Training Majors for Direct Admission / Accelerated Tracks

Carroll University admits qualified students regardless of race, color, creed, sex, age, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin, or disability that does not interfere with the performance of professional athletic training practice as provided by law. Applications and credentials for admission to the athletic training program must be submitted for processing to the Carroll University Office of Admission. Decisions are made on applications by selection committees in the program, and applicants are notified through the Office of Admission.
