Department of Visual and Performing Arts
CU | Gig

CU | Gig is an exciting new program that will match talented Visual and Performing Arts students with creative needs in our community. From musicians to artists, video editors to photographers, we can help! CU | Gig provides Carroll University students the opportunity to build a professional portfolio of work through experiential learning opportunities, as well as providing quality creative services to the Carroll University community.

How the program works

  1. Browse our list of talent in our current student artist directory (below).
  2. Contact the student directly and outline the project, date, time and expectations.
  3. Consider compensation. We believe it's important to compensate our students for their exceptional professional talents so volunteer positions may be difficult to accommodate. Pricing is at the student artist's discretion and you will pay them directly. Negotiating compensation is an important part of their learning experience.
  4. Provide feedback. A critique is one of the best tools we can offer our students as we help them prepare for a professional career in freelancing.
