Sullivan Scholarships for Incoming First-Year Students

The Sullivan Scholar Awards are prestigious awards, providing scholarship funds to qualified students. Selection for these awards is based on demonstrated, academic promise in the field of engineering and aviation science. The scholarship fund is provided by Timothy W. Sullivan '75, an alumnus and current Chairman of BitFire, Inc., a Phoenix, Arizona-based production and transmission company in live TV broadcasting, entertainment, and business.
Amount of Scholarship
The recipients of the Sullivan Scholar Awards will receive a scholarship benefit each year for four years. The amount of this scholarship will vary based on the applicant’s qualifications and be renewable for four years. The recipient will be eligible for additional Carroll scholarships or grants.
Conditions of Eligibility
- The applicant must be a high school senior who has been accepted to Carroll University as a full-time student for fall 2025.
- The applicant must intend to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering, industrial and systems engineering, or aviation science and drone technologies.
- The recipient of the Sullivan Scholarship must maintain a 2.75 GPA in all accredited courses.
Conditions of Competition for First-Year Applicants
- All application materials must be received on or before Tuesday, January 6, 2025.
- The applicant must possess an outstanding academic record from high school and show strong potential for the same high achievement at the college level. Extracurricular activities and leadership experiences will also be considered.
- Finalists will be selected by the scholarship committee for a mandatory on-campus interview.
- Finalists must be in attendance on Saturday, February 15, 2025, to be eligible for the scholarship.
- The recipients will be selected by a Scholarship Selection Committee after careful review of the credentials of all candidates.
