Changing your major

If you are questioning your decision on a major for any reason, you are not alone. Over 80 percent of students who enter college with an intended major change their major at least once. There are many reasons students change their major including: lack of interest in the academic area of study, inability to perform at the level required of a given program, or appeal of a different academic field. As you take part in coursework and campus activities, you are exposed to new people, academic disciplines and ways of thinking. This may lead to you finding a major that is a better fit with your interests, skills, abilities and values.
