Bandorama paloozafest

Carroll University’s inaugural BANDORAMAPALOOZAFEST is a mid-winter mini-conference for all things “band.” The two-day event, happening February 15-16, 2019, is comprised of concerts and clinics, all of which are free and open to the public.

The World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE) Seminar with President Dario Sotelo (Brazil) and President-elect Dr. James Ripley from Carthage College will include sessions about WASBE, a new repertory presentation on music from the recent WASBE Composition Competition and a combined concert presented by the Carthage College Wind Orchestra and the Carroll University Wind Ensemble, with guest conductor Dario Sotelo.

BANDORAMAPALOOZAFEST Culminating Concert with the Waukesha Area Symphonic Band, Carroll University Wind Ensemble, the Youth Wind Orchestra of Wisconsin and guest artist Jack Stamp

BANDORAMAPALOOZAFEST will feature guest conductor, composer, and clinician Jack Stamp as well as clinicians from the ranks of Wisconsin’s great band directors. Interspersed with the day’s clinics will be performances by the 1st Brigade Band and Blaskapelle Milwaukee. The culminating concert will feature the Waukesha Area Symphonic Band, Carroll University Wind Ensemble, and the Youth Wind Orchestra of Wisconsin featuring Maestro Stamp guest conducting his music with each ensemble, and the premiere of three new works for wind band as winners of the Carroll University Wind Band Composition Competition.
