Job Title – Campus Services Pioneer Shop Student Worker

Purpose of Job

Pioneer Shop Student Workers support the overall operations of the Pioneer Shop by assisting customers in store with questions and purchases, merchandise inventory and organization, minor cleaning, and other duties as assigned.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and assist with questions and merchandise purchases; operate POS system, and related software
  • Support opening and closing duties for the store
  • Shelve, arrange, clean, and organize merchandise to maintain an appealing sales floor
  • Assist with merchandise inventory and product processing
  • Ensure proper communication with supervisors and coworkers
  • Utilize Carroll e-mail account, shift scheduling software, and Microsoft Teams to communicate with coworkers and professional staff members
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Strong communication, customer service skills and exceptional attention to detail; prior retail experience is preferred
  • Ability to problem-solve, work independently and as a team member, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time
  • Sufficient strength, physical dexterity, close vision and color vision and ability to perform duties and responsibilities of position
  • Ability to work day, evening and weekend hours to support regular store hours and special events
