Department – Office of Violence Prevention
Job Title – Peer Educator
Purpose of Job
Work collaboratively with supervisors, staff members and student groups to collectively work toward creating a violence-free culture at Carroll University where all students can feel welcome and safe.
Duties and Responsibilities
To work the OVP reception desk, and answer any questions visitors may have
To assist in the monitoring and creation of social media content
To serve as a representative at campus outreach events
To assist in the development of programs and trainings based on needs of various constituent groups on campus
To bridge and leverage partnerships throughout various areas of involvement on campus (Athletics, Organizations, Fraternity & Sorority Life, Academics, etc.)
To assist the OVP staff with various event set up and logistic tasks as needed
Job Qualifications
Excellent and inclusive customer service and outreach is a requirement for this position
The ability to demonstrate proficient public speaking skills
A desire to work in an active public setting
The ability to work well with others
The ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
The desire to represent Carroll in a positive light as a spokesperson for the University
