Biography

With 30 years of healthcare leadership experience, David Cook, CPA, MBA, CMPE, has held senior roles for both integrated delivery systems and independent physicians. His background includes managing value-based contracting, clinically integrated networks, IPAs, MSOs, primary care offices, multi-specialty groups, hospital-based physicians and surgery centers.

He has successfully navigated many business challenges including: contentious negotiations with health insurers, business start-ups, turn-arounds, rapid growth and intense market competition.

In a prior operational leadership role, Cook had budget responsibility for 275 providers and 800 staff in 82 Louisville area locations. Prior to that, he was lead executive for a clinically integrated network in Wisconsin of over 450 physicians, where he founded an MSSP ACO in April 2012. Cook is currently founder and president of proMEDICIS Advisors Corp. He also consults for Patina Solutions and teaches Healthcare Law and Ethics for the School of Business at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
