Biography

Dr. Brandt started their nursing career in 2000 and worked in the ICU for 22 years where they loved precepting new nurses. They started teaching at Carroll University part-time in 2013 and then happily took a full-time position in 2015. During this time Dr. Brandt pursued their Doctor of Nursing Practice, Family Nurse Practitioner (NP) degree. They left Carroll in 2019 to work as a Stroke NP with hopes to return in the future. They returned to their true love of teaching at Carroll University in 2022 and are very happy to be home.

I like to use multiple learning strategies that address student’s individual learning styles.

What should students know about you?

I have worked very hard in my nursing education and career, and I can relate to the effort, courage, and perseverance it takes to become a nurse.
