The production is a musical adaptation of the Shakespeare
classic - it's 50% original Shakespearean text and 50% contemporary cover songs
played by a live pit - and will be performed this Fall as a true multi-media
production (a combination of filmed and live performance).
While parting has been such sweet sorrow, the wait is
finally over! Follow the link below or scan the QR code on our new poster to
reserve your seat for ROMEO+JULIET (A COVER) starting TODAY. Either reserve your in-person seat in Shattuck
Auditorium, or reserve your 'virtual seat' to the live streaming of the
production, scheduled for October 22-24 at 7 p.m.*! (Note that the 10/24 performance is only open
to invited guests of the cast and crew.)
If you attend in-person, seating is limited to one free
ticket per person and is open to Carroll students, faculty, and staff
only. (Masks are required, seating will
be assigned to all in-person attendees, and appropriate social distancing
measures will be in place, per CDC Guidelines and Carroll University's
policies.)
If you attend virtually, you will be emailed a
live-streaming link to the performance of your choice the week of October 19.
So, how the heck will this production work?! Whether you
attend live in Shattuck or virtually from your home, all audiences will see a
combination of prerecorded music videos and live performances that will be
happening in the Otteson Theatre - everything you hear (both music and singing)
is being performed LIVE by actors and musicians in the Otteson Theatre! We have been working closely with Carroll’s
Office of Information Technology, as well as audio and video professionals, to
make this a theatrical experience like you’ve never seen before!
