Constitution Day Lecture: Presidential Elections and the Electoral College

Dr. Lilly Goren, professor of political science at Carroll, will present a lecture designed to help the audience understand the reasons for the inclusion of the Electoral College in the Constitution and how it has operated in past presidential elections, including 2016. Dr. Goren is a well-regarded political commentator who can frequently be heard on Milwaukee and Wisconsin public radio (WUWM and WPR), as well on television (TMJ4 and others). She is the author or editor of several books, including Women and the White House: Gender, Popular Culture and Presidential Politics (with Justin S. Vaughan) and You’ve Come a Long Way, Baby: Women, Politics, and Popular Culture.
