Natural Shocks | Staged Play Reading

Carroll University is partnering with Outskirts Theatre Co. on a staged play reading of Natural Shocks, a play by Lauren Gunderson which is being performed across the country next weekend, timed to coincide with the 19th anniversary of the Columbine high school massacre.

7 p.m.
Otteson Theatre

Natural Shocks is a new 65-minute, one-woman tour-de-force play that bursts to life when we meet a woman waiting out an imminent tornado in her basement. She overflows with quirks, stories, and a final secret that puts the reality of guns in America in your very lap. The play is part confessional, part stand up, and part reckoning.

The performance will star Carroll University Acting Instructor and Actress Laura Gray with stage directions read by Carroll student Calynn Klohn.

Tickets are FREE for all, and are available for reservation on Monday April 16 at tickets.carrollu.edu. Though tickets are free, Outskirts Theatre Co. will be collecting donations that evening for The Women's Center to support the fight on violence against women.
