Carroll University’s Council for Community Culture is to advise and work with the Vice President for Community Culture in creating a vision and implementing strategies that will cultivate a welcoming and inclusive campus community. To this end, the Council will support innovations that are equity-centered and stimulate belonging, while challenging practices that hinder the fulfillment of being a socially just organization. Central to the work of the Council is Carroll University’s Ethos: Respect, Integrity, and Stewardship and the University’s 10 Covenants with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A). The Community Culture Council is to embrace the practice of being equity-minded (USC Center for Urban Education, 2022) as it relates to addressing barriers to student and employee success.
