Ethos Symposium

Carroll University’s 6th Annual Ethos Symposium, reflects our commitment to fostering meaningful and transformative learning experiences that support our mission and Ethos. This year’s theme, “Civility and Democracy,” invites us to explore how each of us can contribute to a campus culture that values respectful engagement and collective responsibility. This program will provide tools, resources, and skills to help us all play a role in this important work. When we prioritize civility and democracy, we create a stronger, more connected community—one where everyone feels empowered to contribute.

*Afternoon sessions: please note that each session is open to everyone, however the audience of a particular workshop may be targeted towards Carroll students, faculty and staff.

Save the Dates for 2025

In the days leading up to the symposium, there will be two cultural events hosted on Carroll’s campus. The goal of the events is to highlight the richness of the world’s culture as well as the unique cultures represented on Carroll’s campus.

Cultural Showcase |  12pm - 1pm

Carroll’s cultural fair aims to bring individuals together and celebrate our unique histories. Cultural celebrations foster respect and open-mindedness and helps to unite and educate us. This fair will provide a space for anyone who chooses to participate. You are invited to showcase your traditions and customs through storytelling, art, music, fashion, performance and more!

Cultural Market  |  11 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Carroll’s cultural market is a continuation of the cultural fair celebrations. This event strives to increase awareness, understanding of, and pride in our ethnic diversities, through the sharing of food! This event is all about sharing, experiencing and learning.
