The Hartwell Apartments offer convenient housing for upper-division and graduate students. Each unit provides a comfortable, secure living environment designed to support your academic success and lifestyle. Hartwell C offers air-conditioned, one-bedroom units and features a full kitchen, a private living room, and a bathroom with a tub/shower. Units have furnished bedrooms, including twin XL bed, dresser, bookcase, desk, hutch, & chair.

2026-2027 Upper Division and Graduate Housing Rates 

The terms and billing for Upper Division Housing align with the University business cycle and payments. Rates are listed below, including utilities and parking: 



*Note: For summer eligibility, an active fall contract is required. Summer is based on a nightly rate of $30/night, billed in advance for your total stay.
 

Alternative Arrangements  

  • Other Housing Options: If you are interested in options other than a 1-bedroom in Hartwell C, please view our Undergraduate Housing, which is also open to all Graduate students. 
  • Summer-Only Residents: If you only plan to stay for the summer, please complete the 2026 Summer Housing Application, which will be available soon. 

How to Apply

  1. Visit the PioHousing Portal.
  2. Select Upper Division Housing to submit your request and pay the $50 application fee (non-refundable).
  3. Once reviewed, the Office of Residence Life and Housing will email you a formal offer.
  4. After your placement is finalized, you will receive a confirmation email with move-in instructions.
  5. Secure your spot for summer by the priority deadline of April 23 if you wish to take occupancy on or before May 15.
