Bryon Run Walk Roll
The 2018 Bryon’s Run/Walk/Roll to Cure Paralysis event.
Carroll University has received the Mike Strong Award from the Bryon Riesch Paralysis Foundation (BRPF) for its work on the annual Bryon’s Run/Walk/Roll to Cure Paralysis.

The award is given to a group or individual who uses its influence, talents and energy to benefit the BRPF. The award is named after Mike Riesch, Bryon’s youngest brother, who died of cancer in 2014 at the age of 28.

“Last year we raised $60,000 from the run/walk/roll,” said Janet Curtis, development director for the BRPF. “Over the past nine years, we raised close to $400,000. That is a huge, huge accomplishment and a huge part of why Carroll got the award. We really pride ourselves on our partnership.”

This year will be the 10th time Carroll has partnered with the BRPF on the run/walk/roll to raise money and awareness for individuals with paralysis. The 2019 event will be Sunday, Oct. 6, at Schneider Stadium.
