Carroll University Announces Paul Zinck as New Vice President for Finance and Administration

Paul Zinck, Vice President for Finance and Administration 

Carroll University is proud to announce Paul Zinck as the next Vice President for Finance and Administration.  

Zinck joins Carroll with extensive experience in higher education finance. Most recently, he served as Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration at St. Louis Community College, and previously held roles at McKendree University and Washington University. His experience demonstrates strong strategic leadership, fiscal management and knowledge of higher education. 

The Carroll community is eager to work with Zinck, given his relevant skills and proven leadership.  

“We’re pleased to welcome Paul as our Vice President for Finance and Administration,” said President Cindy Gnadinger. “His extensive experience and skills will serve the university well as we continue to move forward with our strategic plan initiatives.” 

In his new role, Zinck will oversee Carroll’s finance, accounting, institutional budget, facilities, public safety and auxiliary services. He will interface with nearly all departments on campus, including university leadership, Academic Affairs, Student Life, enrollment, Human Resources, Institutional Advancement and more. 

“I am excited to be part of the Carroll community and look forward to serving our students and working with faculty and staff in all areas across campus,” said Zinck. 

Prior to working in higher education, Zinck completed a 20-year distinguished military career in the U.S. Army. He remains active in supporting military groups, charitable veteran organizations and military student services. 

Zinck attended McKendree University in Lebanon, Ill., where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. He then went on to receive his Master of Business Administration from McKendree University. Zinck’s official start date with Carroll was Wednesday, April 6.
