May Day
May 13, 1935
The May Day Pageant was an annual tradition at Carroll starting in 1913 and ending during the 1930s where plays and dances were performed by the ladies of the university. It was coordinated by the Girls' Athletic Association. The Young Women's Christian Association was usually in charge of the dinner.
Photos and above caption have been taken from the Carroll University Archives.
Fun fact: This photo was taken on Main Lawn and in the background is the Voorhees Cottage, which was razed in 1965 to make way for the Shattuck Music Center.
