One of the biggest compliments alumni can make to their alma mater is returning to the classroom and sharing their knowledge to strengthen current students.

This spring, Haylee (Albrecht) Dunn '20, returned to Environmental Science course Natural Resource Management taught by Dr. Todd Levine and climbed a tree. Well, that's not all she did. She is a Diagnostic Arborist for Wachtel Tree Science and she shared her lived experience as a certified arborist. While she is only a few years out of school her passion and knowledge for tree management is palpable. Thank you Haylee!

"The amount we currently know about trees is equivalent to knowledge of human medicine in 1800s. My approach to tree care is biology and ecosystem based. Trees are dynamic parts of our urban environments. As such, trees need to be treated as habitats, artisans, and heirlooms for us and our communities." - Haylee Dunn '20
