The concept of “community” refers to a group of people unified by a common interest and shared social values and responsibilities. Carroll has always embodied this value of community but more than ever, this special community has come together in recent months.

With our CU Month of Service in November, Giving Tuesday initiative on Nov. 30, and the recent Waukesha Christmas parade tragedy, the incredible and giving members of this community have stepped in, stepped out and stepped up.

Alumni, faculty, staff, students, emeriti, retired staff, neighbors, and friends demonstrated their generosity through actions of empathy, outreach, and giving. I am so proud of our CU community and proud to be a Pioneer.  Certainly, our foremothers and forefathers in our 175 years of history must be mirroring that same pride.

In reflection of all that has occurred in 2021, you — our Pioneers — continue to demonstrate the incredible resilience, empathy, generosity, innovation, kindness, and fortitude to take care of one another and forge ahead.

Thank you for all your acts of kindness and giving, to Carroll, to one another and to the Waukesha community.  We are strong because of you.

Blessings to you as we wrap up 2021 and best wishes for a prosperous new year ahead.  We are planning some exciting alumni events in 2022 so please check out our events page for updated opportunities at carrollu.edu/alumni/events.

Thank you Pioneers!
