Happy February!

As you may know, the Alumni Council is an important resource for Carroll’s alumni community. It supports the mission and goals of Carroll University, represents the voice of alumni in the alumni engagement planning process, and serves in an advisory capacity to the Office of Alumni Engagement.

As we look to the Alumni Council’s future, we are focused on some key priorities. Those include:

  • Ensuring that we operate as an active advisory board.
  • Increasing the Council’s visibility and communicating its purpose to alumni and students.
  • Growing Alumni Council membership.

While we look to the future, we are proud of Carroll's rich past and hope you will be on the lookout in the coming months for opportunities to engage and celebrate the university's 175th anniversary. January 31st marked this special occasion of the signing of Carroll's charter in 1846.

Also in the Council's future is the development of a 2-5-year strategic plan to help guide our mission and work. We are striving to help strengthen relationships between the university and its alumni and would love to hear from you as we develop the strategic plan. If you have suggestions as to how we can better fulfill our mission and be effective ambassadors for the University, please email your thoughts to alumni@carrollu.edu. We look forward to hearing from you!

Meanwhile, Council members continue to meet and, like many of you, work virtually. We are busy planning for April’s National Service Project, which last year raised 232,347 meals for hungry families! We are connecting with our fellow Pios and hope to engage alumni in all 50 states to participate by reaching out, giving back, volunteering, and donating. If you are interested in being a champion for this effort in your state, please email alumni@carrollu.edu.
