Volunteer Day

Pioneers explore, discover, create...and serve. Each fall, the Carroll community gathers together to honor our mission of demonstrating Christian values, lifelong learning and service in a diverse and global society through our annual Volunteer Day. On Saturday, November 4, 2017, over 140 Carroll alumni, students, faculty, staff, emeriti, retirees and friends engaged in this year’s academic theme of “Service.” As a community, our Pioneers served 500+ hours across six community organizations in Waukesha and Milwaukee. In its ninth year, Pioneers Serve: Carroll Volunteer Day was the largest November service event to date. Thank you to all of this year's participants!

The 2017 Volunteer Day locations and activites included:

Avalon Square | Spent time with residents playing games and engaging in a craft project. 

Carroll's Prairie Springs Environmental Education Center  | Worked outside for needed projects.

Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin | Sorted food at Feeding America's warehouse.

Green Power Gardens | Worked outside to organize and perform end of season tasks.

Milwaukee Rescue Mission | Completed various projects as needed to assist in the MRM's mission.

Saratoga HeightsJoined senior citizen residents for a morning of camaraderie and conversation over a game of Bingo.

Give Back and Get Involved
